Hörbar: Bunte Luft Trio - "Xeronema" Album Release

Bunte Luft Trio is an improvisation group from Hamburg that focuses on
the sonic interactions of Đàn Bầu, baritone saxophone and modular
synthesizer. All three instruments are rooted in completely different
genres. The musicians use this peculiarity as a springboard to create
their characteristic sound. Tam Thi Pham (VN), Jana De Troyer (BE) and
Jan Wegmann (DE) bring their own artistic backgrounds to the table,
moving through different atmospheres that let the audience travel
through interplanetary deserts and microscopic forests.

On 10 September 2025, the Bunte Luft Trio will celebrate the release of
their album 'Xeronema' at the Hörbar with an improvisation concert.
Everyone is welcome to join in this festive occasion! Bunte Luft Trio's
second album Xeronema accumulates a selection of the trio's collective
sonic explorations of 2024. Just like the plant genus of Xeronema, the
tracks combine the aural equivalent of luscious flowers with colorful
spikes.

Hörbar: Bad Boy Jesus Tape Club presents T.R.A.N.C.E. -- Julia E Dyck +
Dian

Diana Duta is a Brussels-based artist working with sound in hypnotic
ways, with a background in art and socio-cultural linguistics. Her work
focuses on concepts of mimesis and reiteration within the linguistic and
the biosemiotic worlds, on embodied listening and how non-humans
communicate. She makes works for radio, installations and experimental
music as DIAN. In 2023, she received a Sound therapy training from the
Institut Français de Sonothérapie.

Julia E. Dyck is an artist and hypnotist. Her relational and speculative
practice explores the possible connections between the body,
(sub)consciousness & technology through performance, composition,
installation and transmission. Trained as a hypnotherapist, Julia
creates experiences of collective transformation and somnambulism with a
focus on the sonic.

Hörbar: Julius Gabriel "TALES FROM THE SUBTERRANEAN" / LIJEL

Julius Gabriel is a saxophonist who can be regarded as a virtuoso in an
existentialist sense. His expanding body of solo work explores the
boundaries and intricacies of the saxophone, delving into the dynamic
interplay between corporeality, acoustics, transcendence, and hypnosis.
His solo recordings and performances range from acoustic improvisations
to electro-acoustic compositions and amplifier-driven soundscapes.
Born and raised in East Berlin in 1988, he began his musical journey at
an early age, experimenting with a tape recorder, whistling, voice,
trumpet, and kitchen tools. By the age of ten, he had turned his focus
to the saxophone, eventually studying music at conservatories in Berlin
and at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, before continuing
his musical studies with an autodidactic approach.

LIJEL's performances mesmerize with an intense, almost transcendental
force, drawing the audience into a deep, hypnotic flow. Her solo shows
weave ethereal ambient layers with cutting-edge experimental
electronics, sculpting sound through frequencies and vibrations that
seem to resonate from a future yet to come. An unseen realm beyond the
boundaries of time. She creates soundscapes from found objects of
everyday life, from the things we wear and pieces found on streets and
combining these with her Vocal Improvisations. With roots in South
Slavic and Siberian-Mongolian traditions, her voice carries echoes of
forgotten tongues & primal utterances. Her vocal improvisations defy
linguistic borders, weaving ancestral resonance into modern sonic
experimentation.

HÖRBAR: CARMEN KLEYKENS VIDAL / HAPPYHAPPYFACE / MATHIEU SYLVESTRE

happyhappyface merges keyboard improvisation and modular synthesis into
explosive, unpredictable sonic textures. Drawing from IDM, techno and
ambient, his sets move between fluid and frozen states, exploring
emotional extremes. His latest release You Just Like blends metallic
intensity with euphoric melodies: beauty born from unfamiliar
collisions.

Autodidact musician based in Berlin, Germany since 2010, Mathieu
Sylvestre came from France to Noise Music after 10 years as vocalist and
guitarist in rock music field.
With guitars, cello, effect pedals and contact microphones, he first
experimented on sounds and noises to work on origin of vibrations by
straight analog means. After guitar noise experiments he developed sound
pieces from field recordings and Moog analog synthesizers sound sources.

Carmen Kleykens Vidal (1998* Païs Valencià) is a multimedia artist,
post-composer, improviser, and performer from Gandia based in Hamburg,
Germany.
Carmen directs and creates projects with different collaborators,
building multimedia projects in experimental setups and extensions. She
is researching "Fluid Virtual identities", and the impact of XR
technology on feminist awareness inside her doctoral studies with Prof.
Alexander Schubert in HFMT, Hamburg. Their work explores XR technology
and 3D audio within Queer-feminist and post-human aesthetics, utilising
topics such as virtuality, representation, self-exploration, and
scientific theories as the main sources of digital action and political
message.

If tomorrow I Don't Come Back release concert-party at Hörbar

_Today I share with you If Tomorrow I Don't Come Back, my first solo EP
- a diary written in electronics, shaped by the poetics that have moved
through my body and thoughts over the past two years. _
_At its core, it explores the vulnerability of admitting the fear of
dying alone --or more than alone, in silence-- without your loved ones
knowing, far away on the other side of the world._

_Inspired by the poetry of Gabriela Mistral --the Chilean poet, the
foreigner, the other, the prisoner, the walker-- If Tomorrow I Don't
Come Back is my personal cry for help in the face of the violence I
endure, have endured, and know I will endure._

_In full light. In full gesture. In full love._

_And at the same time, it is a call to courage--a reminder that todo
pasa (otra vez), and that we will be ready to burn it all down if we
must._

Liebe Grüße and see you at the Hörbar! --
