Das Programm im März

Am Freitag den 26. März findet in den Räumen des B-Movies ein Konzert mit 
2 Projekten aus statt. 
Der Einlass ist wie immer  um 21.00 Uhr.

-Man Manly ( Belgien)
Man Manly  has been actively creating since the age of five in one medium or
another. he began his 
creative endeavors in music and painting and soon moved to theater and
sculpting. his education has been 
a mixture of both classroom and self exploration.  he has received numerous
awards in his youth for both 
creativity and his ability.
 
by incorporating all his experiences with multiple mediums he is able to
create a cohesive methodology 
that allows him to transcend the medium and convey constructs articulately
and with emotional depth.   
james employee’s electronic instruments and tools he creates himself,
theatrical aspects and traditional 
musical elements that allow him to transcend singular sensory
representations and interact with the 
observer in a holistic manner that both can draw in and make the observer
part of the work itself.
 
james’ current creative outlets include being the principle member of the
groups man manly and 
phonographistic as well as producing recorded works for these and several
other groups. he also owns and 
operates the sonik alchemy label, production, and distribution organization.


-Paul de Jong (Rotterdam)& Andrés Franz Krause ( Köln )
(1964, Rotterdam, the Netherlands). Lives in New York. Cellist and composer
for various media: sound, 
text, image, video and film. Toured extensively during the 80´s and 90´s  as
a classical and contemporary 
performer throughout Europe and the USA. Has composed and performed for
theatre and dance (among 
others, an electronic score for Lisbon´s  Gulbenkian Ballet in 2000) and is
currently fulfilling a commission 
of eight soundtracks for the city of Rotterdam, to be released and performed
in 2004/2005. Most of these 
compositions spring from recorded improvisations, solo and with other
musicians, after which the material 
gets reworked, edited and layered digitally. He also 
has written scores for solo-musicians and ensembles, in the Netherlands and
the USA. About 50% of de 
Jong´s work eveolves through a collaboration of one sort or another.
Together, the artist Zammuto and de 
Jong call themselves´s "the Books", which released "Thought for Food"(2002)
and "The Lemon of 
Pink"(2003) on the Cologne label Tomlab. They played live in Chicago,
collaborated on a BBC3 radio 
soundtrack and created a website. De Jong is continually expanding an
extensive library of recorded 
sound as a useful tool for his music and the music of others. The library
incorporates field recordings, 
instrumentalfragments, historical documents, and assorted sounds from
movies, LP´s and any other

Andrés Franz Krause; (1969, Huelva, Spain). Lives in Cologne. Composer and
electronic musician since 
mid of the 90´s. Has released different drone and minimal music pieces under
the monique of a.f.r.i. 
studios for labels like bmblab, tonschacht and lucky kitchen in the past.
moving in the field of sound art 
and contemporary music he has also 
published different sound works from artists like Miki Yui, Yoshio Machida,
Aki Onda, Thom Kubli, Alejandra 
& Aeron and Ian Epps for his labels bmb lab and currently softl music
