Das Hörbarfestival im Oktober

Die Hörbar veranstaltet in diesem Jahr am 27. und 28. Oktober ein zweitägiges Festival mit Hamburger und Internationalen Künstlern. Einlass ist um 21.00 Uhr.

Darüber hinaus findet auch in diesem Jahr zwischen dem 18.und 25. Oktober  wieder die Noise-Factory statt. Wie in jedem Jahr treffen sich dort unterschiedliche Musiker aus den Bereichen industrial- und experimenteller Musik in einem Haus in Karze (einem sehr schönen Elbdörfchen) zum gemeinsamen Musizieren und.

27. Oktober

Thembi Soddell & Anthea Caddy (Australien)
is a sound artist from Melbourne, Australia. Her work lays deeply routed in the density and complexity of ones emotional world. Drawing inspiration from dreams and personal psychology, she works primarily with the sampler to manipulate and abstract the external world into both a vicious and alluring sonic experience. With a focus on texture and depth, she plays with the extremes of dynamics, pushing the threshold of both silence and noise, toying with the listeners sense of expectation.

Her compositional style has a distinct, highly stylised edge, rigid and concisely constructed, at times referential of electroacoustic and classical composition, whilst adding elements of sheer noise and musique concrete. She does work for CD, gallery installation, and live performance, and has recently formed a collaborative duo with cellist, Anthea Caddy, who will be touring Europe from October 2006. She is a graduate with honours in sound art from RMIT's Fine Art Department. She also assists in running the Australian experimental music label, Cajid Media.

Lukas Simonis (Holland) 
Lukas Simonis; guitarist, composer, lives in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and co-founded and works for WORM (a centre for experimental arts). For most of his musical career, he has played in bands and projects that seldom managed to play 'straight' music, despite moving within the field of 'rock' (e.g. Dull Schicksal, Trespassers W, Morzelpronk, Liana Flu Winks, AA Kismet, Vril and Coolhaven).
His interests also lie in the direction of more abstract 'sound'; using electronics, improvisation, voice, field recordings and objects. He has played gigs/improvised with people like Eugene Chadbourne, Eddie Prevost, Pierre Bastien, Richard Barret, Jon Rose, Anne Wellmer, Trevor Wishart, Greg Malcolm and many more, and has groups with Ann la Berge, The Bohman Brothers (Apricot My Lady) and Henk Bakker (Static Tics).

'Stots' has a bit of both worlds; the structure is like a rock album, with 16 tracks, the longest being 4 minutes.
The music is an outsider's version of electro-acoustic composition, using improvisation & field recordings as the main material to build the pieces with. The point of departure for making the whole song cycle was the conscious misunderstanding of language; coming from the idea that you can never say exactly the same thing in a different language (so 'i love you' means something else then 'je t'aime').  'Stots' and all the song titles are in a secret language as an expression for the receiver to use only their senses for perception; not the banal knowledge of dogmatic and misunderstood information. 


Xyramat (Block 4/finetunes) (Hamburg)
Xyramat, eine one-woman-show, liebt und lebt die Musik schon lange. Spielte sie früher in eher dem New Wave und dem Experimental verpflichteten Bands wie z.B. Devantgarde - einer unbekannt gebliebenen, aber hoffnungsvollen Industrial Band - wechselte sie Anfang der 9oer des letzten Jahrhunderts in die experimentelle elektronische Musik und begann mit der Konstruktion von Klängen, die ihre eigene elektronische Handschrift zu erkennen gaben. Schwer zu beschreiben: eckig, kantig, schräg, gefühlsecht (zu hören u.a. auf der Vinyl „Konstruktionen“, den CDs „Sie“,“Yacikaa“, „Electronically“ (Block 4) und Electronica 4002 (Finetunes). Xyramat schafft es immer wieder, neue weitere Sphären zu beschreiten mit der ihr typisch zugeschriebenen Energie und Rastlosigkeit. Stets darum bemüht, den Zauber der Musik einzufangen, weiterzugeben an das Publikum, dessen Drang nach neuen unerforschten Klängen durstet. Schon so mancher verstand es nicht, wenn sie sich rührend freute über einen gutgelungenen Klang. Sie ist eine vielseitige Frau, mit vielen Aktivitäten, aber seltenen Konzerten. Audible Pain (Hamburg)
Audible Pain bietet analoge Feedbacks mit digitalen Versatzdstücken und/oder Effekten. Die Grundstrukturen werden durch freie Improvisationen ergänzt. Immer wieder anders - immer wieder neu. Keine Aufnahme ist identisch mit der anderen. Kein Auftritt ist musikalisch identisch mit dem anderen.

Schubladendenker mögen es "Noise" oder "Industrial" nennen. Doch das hat für den Macher keine Bedeutung.
