Das Programm im August


Am Freitag, den 26. August  2005 ab 21.00 Uhr wird es in der Hörbar  ein
Konzert mit der Sängerin Iris Garrelfs Künstlerin geben :
Zudem wird es an diesem Abend noch einen Hamburger Kontert-Beitrag geben.
Leider stand noch nichts näheres bei Redaktionsschluss fest.


Iris Garrelfs


Iris Garrelfs is best known for her emotive, improvised glitch-tech
performances based around electronically manipulated and digitally warped
voice sounds. Transmuting, combining and making collages, she has performed
around the world. "Garrelfs’s divine caressing tones floated over the
audience… Garrelfs’s voice swelled up into vast cavernous echoes, sweeping
the audience with it" (The Wire)

Her album, entitled Specified Encounters and entirely constructed from voice
sounds, will be released on the French label Bip-Hop in February 2005.
Iris performs solo as well as in collaboration with other soundartists, for
example Robert Lippok (To Rococo Rot). 

Iris is also active creating multi-channel, mainly site-specific sound based
installations. Commissions have included pieces for the Centre of
Contemporary Art in Glasgow (released on a limited edition CD) and the
installation Spoor at Grafisch Atelier in Den Bosch, Holland (as part of
Earational Festival 2004).
