<p><b>Helge Kaul</b></p>
Being an artist on the experimental Swiss label EndTitles, Helge
Kaul (aka Oblique Noir)is exploring musical crosstalks – between
digital rigour and analogue aesthetics, between live performance and
reproductive synthesis. Having a classical music background and a
long-time experience with modular synthesizers and music
electronics, he is strongly interested in the convergence of the
groundbreaking and the well-tried.<br>

<b>Yuri Akbalkan</b><br>
5.1.1:40 for five analogue monophonic tone generators, a stereo
digital tone generator, and video<br>
<br>
This is a new 40-minute version of a composition originally created
by Yuri Akbalkan (yuriakbalkan) to be performed on the New Stage of
Alexandrinsky Theatre in St Petersburg a decade ago. Additional
versions lasting 23 and 70 minutes, with and without video, also
exist. 5.1.1 represents a signal-type structure comprising five
analogue signals and a stereo pair of digital signals.<br>
In addition to the sound score, there is also a separate score for
the visual component and its implementation. The visual component is
reduced to a homogeneous texture-frame interspersed with brief video
episodes lasting 3 to 8 seconds. Otherwise, a black screen with a
running timer is displayed. This deliberate visual restraint—an
intentional deprivation of visual stimuli—is designed to encourage a
more nuanced and complex auditory perception.<br>
In the Hörbar, a version with the visual component will be

<p><b><font size="5">Hellenica / Eyal Talmor</font></b></p>
<p>Jim Demos aka Hellenica was born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada
where he honed his talents as a multi-instrumentalist performing
in noise-rock and avant-garde bands in the 90's and 00's. In 2009,
Jim relocated to Montreal and began his journey composing ambient
and experimental soundtracks. Over the years he has worked
extensively live, performing his compositions at several venues
and theatres in North America, Europe and Mexico using his unique
mix of electronics and guitar. Demos also collaborates with other
musicians in the experimental/improvisational tradition that
encompasses genres like experimental western, electronic,
post-rock, dark ambient, and drone. Hellenica has released over 10
albums independently and on labels Midira (DE) BlwBck (FR)
Somewherecold (US) Machine Tribe (US) Jeunesse Cosmique (CAN).
Since being a musician from the age of 18, in various bands, he
has supported acts such as The Pixies, Peter Walker, Sir Richard
Bishop, Tashi Dorji, Uz Jsme Doma, Nadja and countless others.</p>

Eyal Talmor is an experimental musician dealing with unusual
behaviors of electronics and sound. His improvisational performances
centre around a synthesizer that, when connected to a normal
functioning machine, becomes unintentionally influenced by corrupted
MIDI data sent back and forth, causing it to operate beyond its
planned capabilities.<br>
While dealing with the chaotic nature of the involved machines and
the live setting in real-time, Talmor's setup allows him to reach
sounds that would be otherwise impossible. The described method
makes every performance unique and unrepeatable, allowing the
musician to research stress conditions, chaos, the physicality and
behaviors of new sounds and their influence on the listener.<br>

Lullabies for Dinosaurs: Sound performance for voices and
electronics<br>
<p>What if creatures from the distant past could still hear us?
“Lullabies for Dinosaurs” is a sound performance for voices and
electronics, weaving noisy textures, heartfelt melodies,
mysterious drones and bright synthesised sounds into imagined
songs for beings that have vanished.<br>
Through a fusion of live performance, extended vocal techniques,
and immersive electronic textures, the work invites audiences into
an evocative sonic journey, exploring the echoes of lost worlds
and unrealized possibilities.</p>
<b>Edith Steyer</b><br>
<br>
Edith Steyer is an improvising and experimental clarinet and
saxophone player, deeply embedded in Berlin's Echtzeitmusikszene.
Their musical interests lie in creating spacy and often noisy
soundscapes, built upon structure, texture, and form. Transparency
and density are key elements in their music, achieved through the
interplay of individual sonic events and layered sound.<br>
A defining characteristic of their practice is the integration of
the Rumberger pickup, embedded within the clarinet's body. This
allows the instrument to transcend its traditional role,
transforming it into a percussive sound source. Steyer employs
various preparations and extended techniques to construct abstract
sound images.<br>
Performing for an audience, armed with their instrument and
electronic devices, Steyer guides listeners through a journey of
improvisation. This act of artistic expression is also a form of
self-exposure, venturing into an uncertain future. Each performance
carries the inherent risk of failure, mirroring Steyer's personal
situation: the interplay of inner and outer conditions as a
psychological and social being, and the inherent insecurity of life
itself.<br>

<p><b>Pascal Marzan</b></p>
Currently living in London, Pascal Marzan performs on a 10 string
microtonal guitar.<br>
After studying classical guitar – mainly devoted to the twentieth
century repertoire – and teaching guitar in several music schools in
Budapest, Hungary and France, Pascal has dedicated himself to free
improvisation and the exploration of microtonal tunings of his
instrument. His playing has been influenced by his interest in the
folk musics of Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa…<br>
He has recorded guitar duets with John Russell, Roger Smith (Emanem
records) and a trio with Sabu Toyozumi and Dan Warburton
(Improvising Beings records)…<br>
