Hörbar: Arrival Cities: Hanoi

Arrival Cities: Hanoi is an innovative fusion of
music theatre and documentary film. This experimental work,
created through a collaboration between director Jörgen Dahlqvist,
composer Kent Olofsson, and the ensemble The Six Tones (Ngô Trà
My, Nguyen Thanh Thủy, and Stefan Östersjö), explores the stories
of migrants in Hà Nội.
The piece blends composed music with improvisation, while the
documentary features interviews with rural-urban migrants,
focusing on the lives of street vendors—primarily women—who
balance work in the city with family life in the countryside.
Central to the narrative is the story of Lưu Ngọc Nam, a Tuồng
actor and costume maker, whose journey from the countryside to Hà
Nội reflects the city’s rich cultural tapestry.
Arrival Cities: Hanoi is a poetic reflection on migration, memory,
and the vibrant connections between tradition and modernity.

David Wallraf
David Wallraf is a noise artist and theorist from
Hamburg. In their audio works they explore the acoustics of the
uncanny: Field recordings, electromagnetic waves and obsolete
audio technology are woven into soundtracks for the nightmare of
'capitalist realism'. Since 2013 they released about 80 solo works
and collaborations. In February 2025, the tape album Crudeltá
Necessaria will be released on Karlrecords. A collaboration with
Jena Jang is due to be released on German tape label Econore in
March. A recent interest has been live scoring of surrealist
silent films, including works by Luis Buñuel, Maya Deren and Jean
Genet.
Hörens – Noise und die Akustik des Politischen (Limits of Hearing

Hörbar: Duo Duy Long & Fabian Neubauer /

Duo Duy Long & Fabian Neubauer

The duo embodies a creative approach to music that prioritizes
spontaneity and freedom above all
else. This open project is built on the philosophy of
unpreparedness, inviting musicians to step into
a space where traditional expectations—be they instrumental,
structural, or stylistic—simply do not
exist. It creates an environment that encourages pure
improvisation, where each performance
becomes a living entity, shaped entirely by the moment and the
atmosphere at hand.
In this realm of creativity, the music emerges organically,
flowing from the interplay of sound,
silence, and space. Duy Luong and Fabian Neubauer engage in a
profound dialogue, responding to
each other's musical impulses while remaining attuned to the
nuances of the environment around
them. Every performance should be an exploration of the present,
a reflection of the unique energy
of the moment, and an opportunity to
discover the unexpected.

Lovis Determan

Jena Jang is a South Korean audiovisual artist, experimental
musician, DIY instrument builder, and performance-based
researcher based in Prague, Czechia. Their multidisciplinary
practice centres on trauma healing through the intensity of live
performance, focusing on the circulation of energy between
artist and audience, building affective connections with
non-human beings, and musically interpreting organic structures
found in nature.
recording, experimental sound, and DIY electronics, drawing from
diverse interests including urban noise, bio-art, birdsong

audio-reactive live visuals, miniature noise synth development,
and the creation of recycled sound objects—often reconfiguring
children's toys or discarded technologies.

Sisto Rossi

Sisto Rossi might became the keystone of the post industrial
experimental/noise scene of the Ruhr Area. Originally from
Tampa, Florida he appeared in western Germany around 2001, with
plenty of energetic and creative live performances under several
aliases. Also involved in label and concert activities during
all this years, he is one of a kind in the so called Ruhr Area
(now Hamburg) ever since. His work is focused on the research
for sounds from gear, which he is also building by himself, and
the possibilities of body experience through sound and room. As
a result, Sisto creates a diverse universe of performances,
depicting his personal physical reactions and thoughts about
material and environment with his music.
arts, she developed her own playing techniques and
preparations with trumpet, radio, loudspeakers and objects. Apart
from this material research, her special interest lays in the
relationship between silence and sound. Her work includes acoustic
and electroacoustic projects, solo performances, concert and sound
installations, videos, concept pieces and concerts in the field of
improvised / experimental music. She has received numerous grants

In concerts he plays his electroacoustic music by using different
small external loudspeakers and objects. At the same time these
sounds are modulated by resonating objects placed on the speaker
and by several, in everyday life used resonance bodies.
